Ireland
Camac Valley Campsite
20 August 2024

Before going to bed last night we thought we would have a shower. A short recci and Lillian returned and decided we would both have a navy wash in the van. Luckily the water carrier had put more water in our tank and switched on the hot water, staff like this are hard to find.
The sun is shining and today we visited the Plas Newydd (Welsh for ‘new hall’) a country house set in gardens, parkland and surrounding woodland on the north bank of the Menai Strait. We had a bacon bap, went for a walk, looked around the house and then set off for the ferry. After boarding we went to find the Club Class Lounge, a recommendation from Andrew Ditton a YouTube blogger. We both agreed it was well worth the money.
The crossing was calm but very windy on the Promenade Deck. It took around three and a half hours for the crossing. The journey to our first site in Ireland, called Camac Valley, took us through a tunnel (12 euros) and on the M50 (3.70 euros), the traffic was very busy and we arrived at 6.50pm, 10 mins before reception closed.

We are here for three nights giving us two sightseeing days for Dublin.
